Maksim Chmerkovskiy and Meryl Davis shippers, rejoice! The former Dancing With the Stars partners reunited for an early bite to eat on Saturday, Aug. 9.
"Got to see this one! Finally! Thanks for breakfast @meryledavis," the Ukrainian native, 32, wrote via Instagram. Davis replied: "Missed this one."
In the adorable snapshot, the Mirrorball trophy winners posed for a selfie outside. Chmerkovskiy wore a white V-neck top while leaning into Davis. The 27-year-old Olympic gold medalist, meanwhile, smiled big and donned a denim shirt.
The close pals were hounded with (and denied) showmance rumors while competing during the ABC series. "Do you know what a showmance is? It is like being at a summer camp when you're a teenager," Chmerkovskiy explained to Social Life magazine in June. "You spend summertime away from your home. When you spend three months very closely with someone at a particular place, it is like a summer love. You have no choice but to get involved with that person."
"I am very close with a few of my past partners because they have played a huge role in a big part of my life," he continued. "Three months is a long time, and if I am going to give someone that much of my time, I am going to develop a relationship with that person."
The hunky dancer also noted that he wanted Davis to be the last person he dances with -- a wish that seems to be coming true. Late last month, Chmerkovskiy announced that he was "done dancing" on DWTS during an appearance on The View.
